optimism - hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something. 

this project is made with children at heart. created to further become a pattern on my redesigned hospital gown for children's hospitals, the design is intended to to provide a sense of optimism and enlightenment. the earth tones selected are gentle, soft and natural, providing children with a feeling of hope. when creating this project i wanted to make it universal to all children, using simple earth related objects allows for everyone to relate in many different ways. birds among many cultures throughout represent hope for a brighter tomorrow. the plants in the inspiration board represent the room for growth, but can also hold meaning of prosperity. i selected a very thin and soft font to render the theme of tranquility and feathers were selected to further push the concept of growth, optimism and freedom that is represented by the birds. all images in this moodboard were utilized from unsplash.ca
